Our sales staff experience an exciting mix of demanding project management and direct customer contact every day. In personal reports, they share their experiences and provide an insight into their varied daily work, which is characterized by technical know-how, teamwork and the constant search for innovative solutions.

„We have been mechanical engineers for over 100 years and are proud of our tradition as a family business. One of the prerequisites for success at the HerkulesGroup is a good understanding of technology. You have to be able to explain complex issues precisely and succinctly and be convincing at the same time - and all this in countries where you are not normally at home. We have a global customer base and encounter different mentalities, be it in India, America, the Arctic Circle or South Africa.“

Andreas Bongardt is a mechanical engineer himself and has been working in sales at Herkules since 1997. In his role as Sales Manager, he travels around the world.

"To work in sales, besides technical understanding, English skills are especially important. You should be open and extroverted, as you work closely with colleagues internally as well as with customers from different countries. A fine sense of people is crucial. Being technically precise, mastering English, acting professionally and staying in a good mood are all part of this.

The work we do is very independent. In the course of the project, you can design a lot of things yourself and make your own decisions. Of course you will always get support, but a certain amount of initiative and self-confidence is essential.“

After 20 years with the company, it is always impressive to see how we not only manage to meet the technological requirements of our customers with our machines, but are often one step ahead. Despite the ongoing development, the working environment remains familiar and the team spirit among colleagues is simply indescribable.”

Ralf Klews is Senior Sales Manager for Maschinenfabrik Herkules. He has been part of the HerkulesGroup for over 22 years and is considered an absolute expert in roll grinding machines for battery foils.

„My typical day as a project and sales manager includes preparing offers, coordinating with customers and internally, calculating machines and scheduling regular customer appointments. What I particularly like about the HerkulesGroup is that we are a family business where the working environment is characterized by great interaction among colleagues. The group also supports the development of employees through numerous training opportunities.“

Jannik Schneider is Project and Sales Manager at WaldrichSiegen. In his role, he is responsible for a variety of tasks that affect the entire project process.
