Herkules Quality Convinces Novelis Yeongju

As a leading supplier of flat-rolled aluminum products and recycling, Novelis Yeongju has installed a WS 450 W × 6,500 CNC Monolith™ for its plant. The Herkules roll grinder grinds back-up rolls for the hot and cold rolling mill as well as work rolls for the hot rolling mill.

With the KP 10 Touch, Novelis Yeongju opted for the best control software, and for the early detection of roll defects, the company also decided in favor of the reliable inspection technology from HCC/KPM. The Eddy Current and Ultrasonic System with Creeping Wave detects defects and flaws at an early stage and reliably prevents breakdowns and downtime. The machine is thus perfectly equipped to make a valuable contribution to productivity for many years to come.
