Training Jackets for the Youngsters at SuS Niederschelden
A club's youngsters in particular often need special support. Our employee Ortrud Hoffmann successfully applied to the employee sponsorship campaign with her club, SuS Niederschelden, and secured new tracksuits for the Bambini teams for her pet project.
SuS Niederschelden, a traditional sports club with around 650 members, looks after 17 youth and four senior soccer teams. The youngest players, the Bambinis, are particularly close to Ortrud Hoffmann's heart: “We had 30 children in the Bambini group within a short space of time, so I had to split the team into two teams,” she explains. “It's wonderful that even the youngest players now have uniform training clothing. This strengthens the team spirit and ensures a neat appearance.” The response from parents and the club board to the Heart Projects campaign was overwhelming: “We plan to publish an article in our club magazine and share a picture on our website. “
Ortrud Hoffmann, who works in Purchasing at HerkulesGroup Services, has been involved as a Bambini coach for years.
I finally took over the team in 2004 and have been active as a youth coach ever since.” In addition to her work as a coach, she was Managing Director of the club from 2016 to 2023 and is now Youth Managing Director and coach of the C2 youth team. She is particularly proud of organizing the indoor district championships for the Siegen district. Last year, she was even awarded the German Football Association (DFB) Honorary Service Award for her 20 years of commitment and is now a member of the DFB Club 100.
